Normally, the airframe and/or human g limits are well outside the aerodynamic limits. Pulling 10+g is just not physically possible in most combat conditions, regardless of aircraft.


Is that because of limits to air resistance vs. aircraft surface area?


Because to turn at higher g would require a larger wing to grab more air, which is heavier, which would require more wing, which is heavier. The limitation is the density of modern aircraft construction.
